Pelican Point Crawling on crazy Tufa formations. Be respectful to the area. Stanislaus River Campground Parking along the road. Endless granite slabs Bull Run Lake Trail 8 mile out and back. Really good crawling on granite slabs split up with sections of woods. Black Creek Park Fun little spot next to the creek. The Buttermilks Very popular rock climbing area. The slabs behind the main bouldering area are incredibly fun. Washoe Boulder Old rock climbing that has a lot of fun lines. The rock is a volcanic tuff. Views are amazing Kirkwood Lake More granite slabs than you could shake a stick at. Moe’s Valley Endless sandstone lines. Meadow Lake Campground Meadow Lake Campground is the top of the famous Fordyce trail. Great crawling with some fun camping. Maidens Grave Volcanic conglomerate rock with a view Slick Rock OHV Trail Slickrock Trail is a moderately traveled 4x4 trail for full size rigs. Loads of terrain to explore. Candy Rock Candy Rock is a swimming hole. It’s a moderately difficult hike down to the water. The rock is a river polished granite. Caution because it can become extremely slippery. Kraft Mountain Very popular rock climbing area. Lots of lines. Rock Park Old scale crawling area Lam Nature Trail Fun trail run with random rocks along the trail Twain Harte slabs Granite crawling Huffaker hills loop 5k running loop training. Fun tech at speed. Huffier Park Trails A few fun loops with the scale trail rig. Lake Margaret trail The trail is a 4.7-mile out-and-back near Kirkwood, California. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 3 hours to complete with a truck. This is a popular trail for backpacking, fishing, and hiking, but you can still enjoy some solitude during quieter times of day. The best times to visit this trail are June through October. Dogs are welcome and may be off-leash in some areas. Caples Lake Lake side crawling Erratica This is a popular rock climbing area. Just like most of the other areas around the Sierra you get a lot of granite slabs. Donnell Vista Quick hit with some cool views. Hells Kitchen Trailing and crawling. Great overlook Horsetail falls trail Fun trail out to the edge of desolation wilderness Eagle Falls Trail Head up the trail to the water fall and above. It is not suggested to enter desolation wilderness with your RC. Loch Leven Trail It’s trailing with a lot of hard crawling. Rubicon Trail Head Loon lake staging area for the Rubicon. Endless granite slabs. Endless comp lines as well as trailing on the iconic Rubicon trail. Wingfield Park Urben features along the river. Fun for a quick hit Schealer Lake Trail Head out on this 3.0-mile out-and-back trail near Kit Carson. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 2 hours to complete. Tiger Creek Slick water polished granite a few fun lines. Potholes trail Head downstream from the silver lake dam. After about 20 minutes of trail you will come to a group of swimming holes. Fun summer spot. Lots of camp grounds in the area. Pyramid lake Amazing crawling on ancient tufa deposits. $15 parking fee is required. You are on Indian land so be on your best behavior. Burnside Lake Free camping. After about an hours drive on a fire road you will arrive at burnside like. The north and east side of the lake are surrounded by granite slabs. This spot is off the grid and you will most likely be the only people out there. Long Barn Crazy comp lines on extremely sharp volcanic conglomerate rock. It’s like crawling on an asteroid. Powerline trail Park near the dead end. Trail out to the decomposing granite boulders. Emerald Bay lookout Fun little crawling area with one of the most iconic views of Emerald Bay and Lake Tahoe. Be cautious of Park rangers. Bear Valley Slabs Huge amount of granite slabs with endless lines. Natural bridges Trail Hike down to the limestone cave Cat Creek Fun roadside area. Lots of comp lines Historical Columbia Crawling on crazy limestone features. Right in town and next to some of the best pizza ever. Echo View Estates Small area of granite slabs. Fun lines with an amazing view Tuttletown recreation area Lots of lines around the lower parking area. Rock is a form of slate making some lines loose and challenging. Also gives a cool scale look to photos. Prison Hill OHV Area Great crawling on decomposing granite. Massive number of harder comp lines as well as lots of scale trailing.
