Notes

There's not a lot of rock, but plenty of trails to explore. They also have a nice nature center to take the family for a little local wildlife education. If your willing to explore a while you can find some awesome places to crawl

Nature Center, Rifle, Gun and Archery range. Trails to explore and nice picnic areas to relax in. A few primitive camping spots. The range requires you to fill out an application with your information then you get a membership card. Small fee to use and well worth it for a place to safely go. The trails are well maintained and offer incredible views of the valley. There's just the state park pass needed on your vehicle to enjoy the area that you can purchase at the range or nature center. Most of the wildlife are squirrels, birds, and prairie dogs. You may see a deer. A great place and truly a treasure to have so close to Scottsbluff.

Fantastic Nature Center! Lots of taxidermied animals, bird models, and photographs. They have an active honeybee hive with clear walls so you can observe the bees communicating.Wonderful views of the bluffs and plains and lots of hiking/mountain biking trails. There are also a multitude of bird feeders so you can watch a good variety of birds.

A beautiful view of Scottsbluff/Gering and our farming community! We are so fortunate to have this museum and quality of exhibits it shares to those of us who live in Western Nebraska or vacationers traveling through our area. There are walking trails one can enjoy or set and enjoy the views it offers from the museum balconies. If you have not been here then make it a point to visit you will be pleasantly surprised. Fun for younger and older folks alike. Enjoy! Jim
