One of the best kept secrets for hiking in eastern Iowa and so close to the quad cities. Trails are well keep and almost never crowded

Huge place designed more for employees to make $$ than for guests. At around 7:15 AM, I was peacefully sleeping in my “Primitive” campground area, when I heard what sounded like military tanks. Terrified, I awoke and listened, thinking perhaps the bombs had fallen. It continued, and got louder and louder. I unzipped my tent and looked out. Two of the HUGEST lawnmowers I’ve ever seen IN MY LIFE were beating down on my campground area. This place is MANICURED within an inch of its life. The officious campground hosts walked over from a football field’s distance to tell me that my 6 month old puppy need to be tethered to her leash, although we were the only ones in the entire campground, which is the size of four football fields. The immaculate bathrooms had blowing hand dryers that will cause hearing loss—and if you think I’m kidding, look it up. Little kids DO lose hearing from the normal kind, and these aren’t normal. Everything here is LOUD and SPIT-POLISHED, which SEEMS great at first, but it’s accomplished in brutal fashion, and trust me, no one cares. It’s MAN against NATURE. Well, we already know who “wins.” For now.

Love it here! There are many activities to do for all ages. Also the swimming pool here is one of the nicer ones in the area. Lots of playgrounds, shelters and picnic tables, tons of hiking trails, and much more. The park is very clean and well taken care of. Beautiful place to visit!

Full of walking trails, campgrounds with all sorts of character, pavilions, playgrounds, swimming pool. You'll never run out of things to do. It's second to none

Shot another wedding at Historic St Anne's. The staff is always friendly and helpful. A great place for a wedding! The church is easy to shoot in and there are several photo ops in the village. Highly recommend!
