Oxbow Center is a great place to walk trails for all experience levels. Enjoy wonderful views and an occasional sight of an armadillo or turtle. The center is well taken care of and pet friendly! 🦎 🐢

Today was Earth Day at Oxbow. It was a free event. Went with the family. I was here about a month ago and did the trail with my 12 year old and 7 yr old sons. Really nice 3 mile walk; saw two turtles and an armadillo. Today it was nicely decorated, lots of sponsors everywhere, food trucks and a few live animals shows. At one of the presentations we saw baby gators, larger gator, snakes, large Argentina lizard, a snapping turtle and a large frog. We had a great time. Friendly and nice staff. Wish they had more reptiles in the actual building to show though. It’s a small area but worth going. U don’t really see much wildlife walking the trail but this is my 2nd time around so maybe next time!

Oxbow feels like home to me! Great place to make nature art, and escape. IG: Mandala1026

Familiar with the facility and its lush, environmental offerings and decided to take advantage of one of their many evening programs. The family and I participated in their Junior Explorer Bat Echolocation Adventures. A very informative narrative is presented in coordination with our local Natural Resources Agent (Ken G.) with the St. Lucie County Cooperative Extension. Kids loved him and his presentation is designed to initiate their curiosity of one our local inhabitants... bats! He answered all their questions with dedicated passion although he has been doing this for over 20 years. Off to the darkened trails with echo locators and you could definitively pick-up on the night life flying above. All were enthralled! We'll be back for future presentations or the chance to go to 2017 summer camp
