I have been there three times now and the staff seemed to be indifferent to my presence despite the fact that each time I spent more than $100. Most of the RC airplane fuel and accessories are in an "Employee Only" area so unless you get special permission you can't "shop." I try to use local hobby shops instead of mail order, but frankly mail order is superior to these guys. I realize they get most of their business from car people so us airplane people are second class I guess.
This was my first time visiting Leisure Hours Hobbies as I am new to Nitro RC. The gentleman behind the counter was very helpful and informative. Great place, great staff, and great selection of everything RC!
Great place .... they have almost anything you need for rc stuff and the people they have there are very knowledgeable on it. They helped me get my rc buggy up and going after sitting for 5 years. Very happy with this store
Seriously the best hobby shop around. The owner is absolutely awesome he has helped me with fixing my cars and he runs a great clean shop and most of the employees are great! He has great hours open 7 days a week even some holidays. They price match even tho his prices are dead on with every other retailer even amazon. Kevin is one of my favorite employees he made my shopping experience there a blast the man is hilarious and will stop at nothing to make sure you walk happy and satisfied. There is nothing negative about this shop. I’m new to this hobby and the guys here have taught me so much. This shop has been in business for 30+ years that alone should tell you how great it is. If you make it in make sure to tell Scott the owner how awesome his place is. Best hobby shop ever hands down!
Nice new big location. Huge R/C selection, board games, role playing games, models, trains & miniatures....place is great and friendly staff to boot. They have several gaming tables now for Pen & Paper games as well as miniature battles. If you don't see it they can & will order it in for you.
