This is a nice and serene road trip stop, slightly off-the-beaten-path of Route 66 travel. There are some very interesting rock formations, with plenty of vantage points for photography. Parking is rugged, so be cautious. Please take your trash with you, to keep this place beautiful.
A beautiful place of nature to visit while in Joplin. Been here almost every day during the summer and i love going there. Just watch out for the few snakes in the area lol
I always love going here. Its a great place to swim, or take pictures, even hike around. Sometimes there's kids there making a mess and stuff, but its usually pretty clean.
So beautiful. On summer nights across the dam there's wooded area and if you go at just the right time, the lightning bugs look like they have a village in the trees. 😝💟
Nice place to get into some water and jump off a waterfall. However the cleanliness is atrocious! People who go seem to not have a care in the world for well simply the world. Trash everywhere, cigarettes everywhere empty beer cans and bottles all over. They need to keep a better eye on the area with so many people going there it's disgusting and someone needs to clean it up and possibly even fine those littering there's no reason to trash such a nice place.
