Parking is the lot just south east of the train car parking lot. There is a wide dirt road that leads east from the end of this lot and down across the train tracks into the quarry. The trails are throughout this area. Join Fox River RC Crawlers on Facebook for details and events. This trail system has a mix of single track trails, log crossings, rocks, sand, gravel, steep climbs/descents, and other things you would find in an old quarry which this location was previously. There is about 4.5 miles of trail with a lot of intersections so you can mix up routes each time or cruise your favorite! Hoping to do some volunteering here so I can add some features if allowed by the forest preserve staff.

Parking for this is right as you first pull in near the Forest Preserve sign. The trail starts right behind the sign and it goes north parallel to the river. There are many consecutive mounds that this trail follows the ridge of around trees, over and under downed logs, through roots and rocks for approximately 0.5 miles before hitting the pipeline clearing. Good for a short ride or to test out upgrades.
