Family visited this State Park to try out some of the hiking trails and to visit the historical Grist Mill. The fall scenery here is beautiful, as is the landscape. Hiking trails can pose some difficulties for smaller children or adults who may have difficulties walking over uneven terrain. You can try out one of the picnic areas after your hike and enjoy a snack or a picnic meal. Great place to visit and bring your family. I've heard the camping sites at this park are decent as well.

I normally hike in Missouri in Southern Illinois and occasionally in Indiana. I decided to try something new. I discovered that Iowa had something more than corn! (Although I saw a lot of that being harvested on my trip) Beautiful park and lots of scenery. I will definitely be back in the spring.

Ways fun to go out there and walk trails or as myself and many other members of The Quad City Crawlers do run our tiny trucks out there. Everyone enjoys seeing them

One of my sons favourite place to go hiking , love the trails , we always start at the mill and cross the street and walk all the way up and round the punch bowl and down the canyon ridge trail . It's got a charm about it you have to go to appreciate .

Well maintained, shorter trails throughout. A good place for a weekend hike with the family!
