Pretty great hike until you get to the water fall. Bring some gloves to climb down to the base of the waterfall. Trail is narrow and very scenic, great to do in the evening. Good for family and let's just watch the little ones because of the steep slopes and drop offs.

Lovely hike even during the heat of the day. Several shady spots to stop and rest, tho few places to sit. The views are amazing! You can see the salt lake in the distance as you look over the city. The sound of thecreek accompanies you the whole way. Make sure to take in all the views you can!when you hey to the waterfall go up a little higher to the left and find the old wrecked car that is there. No idea how it got there but it didn't have a soft landing. It is mostly up hill all the way so be prepared. Take a snack and lots of water! I went in mid July. Road isn't maintained in the winter.

4 year old was too hot in this 90 degree day so we didn't make it very far. Had a nice lunch near the river though.

The Wasatch Front is so amazing. Many beautiful, and extremely accessible, access routes up into the amazing wilderness of the Wasatch. If you're motoring up one of the gravel canyon roads (such as Farmington Canyon), however, please give yourself the time to enjoy it at a "human pace", not a speedy, dusty, noisy, motorized pace (meaning motor slowly). Share the peace!

Farmington Canyon is a steep road if you need to get some hills training while biking. The rode is quite narrow so be aware of cars driving up and coming down. I recommend hi viz clothing. There is parking at the trailhead and then it turns to gravel so if you road bike that's when you get to go back down. Be careful on the down hill as the road is curvy listen for cars and be safe!
